Encouraging Moments~a Review

This will be my second review as a Gabby Mom for Eternal Encouragement.  This week I'm going to tell you about their newsletter, Encouraging Moments!

We all know we can sign up for tons of newsletters on the internet.  They are all over the place!  If you aren't careful, your inbox will be cluttered with tons of newsletters from different places you signed up for, so much so that you never have time to read them (don't ask me how I know this).  As busy wives, homemakers, and mothers, we need to be careful with our time, and to not overwhelm ourselves with things that don't add something beneficial to us and our families.

Well I am happy to honestly say that the newsletter I receive from Eternal Encouragement is one that I enjoy and definitely find worthwhile.  It comes once a week so it's not overwhelming.

Each newsletter begins with a thought-provoking type of short "letter" from Lorrie Flem (the leading lady of Eternal Encouragement).  And believe me, these little tidbits are juicy!  Take, for instance, the newsletter from a couple of weeks ago.  It quickly leads to these words from Lorrie: "Marriage isn't supposed to make you happy. It's supposed to make you married. It's your job to make your marriage happy and satisfying."    Wow.  That really convicted me when I read that.  Who doesn't need that reminder every once and awhile?  I know at times I have been guilty of feeling "not happy" with my marriage.  You may read that full issue here.

After Lorrie's helpful message, there is the Drastic Discount Day special.  This is a special bargain on products at Eternal Encouragement.  The last couple of bargains have been for the Ending Morning Madness Bundle and the I Have Too Much to Do! Where do I Start? Bundle.  Yes, if you know me, you know I really wanted to buy those, but couldn't.

Following the Drastic Discount Day special, we get to read a couple of quotes from Lorrie and others that were posted on Facebook during the last week.  Every issue also has a new episode of Chick Flicks for Mom.  I have really enjoyed these so far!  You have to see this one where Lorrie simplifies obedience from children for you.  Another helpful part of the newsletter is the "Timely Tip" which can be on any subject, but is always helpful, such as the one about staying on a budget.

Overall, I think you can easily find what you're looking for in Encouraging Moments and that the newsletter is easy to read.  It is full of very helpful information that will, well, Encourage you.  I love the pretty pink colors and pictures that make it more interesting too.  You can sign up for the newsletter yourself (it's free!) at www.HomemakingWithTEACH.comThe sign up box is in the upper-right corner.  I think you will be glad you did!

Enjoy the encouragement.

  1. Thanks for the review. BTW, I love the pic you used. Did you take that shot? I am from Louisiana, and it looks like many of the roads leading up to old plantations, lined with oak trees and azaleas. Beautiful.
