It's Almost Ten O'clock in My Kitchen

It's almost 10 o'clock in my kitchen and what do I see?

I'm having a late night...

Chicken alfredo on the stovetop...

Gingerbread baking in the oven for tomorrow's "Titus Tea"...

Dishes waiting in the sink to be washed...

Yogurt in the crock pot...

Buttermilk forming in jars on the counter top...

Oh!  The gingerbread's ready!

And now, after a break I have to clean up, for no one wants to awaken to a messy kitchen in the morning!

  2. We were in the kitchen late last night as well. 19 half pints of strawberry jam are now resting on the counters!! Today I have blueberries to freeze and can, peaches to freeze and can, pinto beans to can and I am going to try to can beef tips in mushroom gravy. Busy day....if I can quit sneezing this morning!

  7. The Late Night Bug! Oh I love seeing what is going on in another's kitchen! It encourages me to set some bread to rise this morning. We are looking towards a cold damp day - so I'll also need to stoke the fire up a bit to provide a nice rising spot. Thanks for the encouragement!

  9. Can you tell me how you make yogurt in a crockpot?

I used to heat milk over the stove and measure the temp with a candy thermometer and the candy thermometer broke. Do you need one for your method?

  11. I am busy, Patrizia! It is good to see you here too~I've been wondering when you would come and visit ;)

I'm glad I encouraged you to get baking in the kitchen, pebblekeeper. It is good to see others busy with homemaking, isn't it?

Michelle, hello~It is what our ladies are calling our tea time together (I think it will be once a month with our church ladies). We have ladies of all different ages, married and unmarried, and they decided that it would be a good name for it so we can be an encouragement to one another and help each other learn as in Titus 2. For our first meeting we watched Tea with Michelle Duggar.

Mrs. A~I will be happy to tell you, but it's a bit long to explain in a comment. I plan on making a post for it. There is no candy thermometer needed for my method!
