Winter Days

How is your weather, dear friends?  Last week we had snow.  Today, we are having an unusually warm day.  The sun is shining brightly, and only a jacket is needed for outside.  I am amazed at how different our weather can be from day to day.  What a good reminder to enjoy each day and embrace it and do what we can, since we don't know what tomorrow will bring!

The variance in weather reminds me of when I was a young lady and my parents were having a pool put in.  I had taken our dog for a walk around the block, and it started snowing...in April!  I don't remember if they got to put in the pool that day or not, but I do remember accompanying my parents on trips to get pool supplies whenever they needed them, and they were even kind enough to get some pool accessories like a big inner tube for me to use.

I think back on those times in our own pool with fondness!  It was a blessing to be able to enjoy good exercise in the privacy of our own backyard.  Now especially, I am not a fan of public swimming pools.  How about you?

  1. I totally agree with not being a fan of the public swimming pool. Modesty is out the window for most and I, myself, am not comfortable in that setting. Thank you for your uplifting posts. I am a regular reader. Blessings to you.

  2. I agree with you! I take no enjoyment from looking at people dressed in as much as their "underwear". Thank you so much for reading and blessings to you as well.

  3. It's True. For keeping warm, we use warm cloths in the winter time. Same as for our house, we have to use wool carpet for Covering hard wood floor to keep our homes warm.
