Last Month of Summer

Maple Tree in Autumn

I am glad, for this hot summer is approaching its demise.  Next month fall will begin.  Oh, glorious fall!  How the children and I anticipate the cooler days and turning of the season.  It is still in the 90's here, which is much, much too hot for me.

In autumn, the leaves will turn beautiful colors of orange, yellow, and red.  We will find the maple leaves on the ground and pick them up to sniff their sweet, sugary smell.  We will go for walks and crunch on those crispy, fallen leaves.

I am thankful for the changes in the seasons that God gives us.  How creative and wonderful He is.

  1. It is winter here and I wish we could exchange some heat/coolness but alas it is not to be. I love your picture the colours are so beautiful, Autumn and spring are my favourites, when the weather is a little kinder. I hope you can escape the heat.

  3. Like Nell it is winter here and icy cold. I am looking forward to warmer weather where I don't need to be so rugged up. Autumn is beautiful where I live , much nicer than spring which can be a mixed bag of weather. Hope your weather cools down, mum not fond of really hot temps, it can be very draining.

    1. Our springs are mixed like that too. This last spring was hardly spring at all because it got hot so fast. I hope you are able to enjoy your spring.
