White. Quiet.

Our winter has been pretty mild and warm.  It is not usually this way, but lately my children have only needed sweaters outside or nothing at all.  They have been playing outside in the lovely weather, and I have hardly been able to get them to come in.

But today was different.  We woke up to a bright, white, world outside.  A beautiful winter wonderland.  The normal busy rush of cars down the road was silent.  Everyone was forced to slow down, at least for a little while.  Just when it seemed as if Spring had come early, Winter made its brilliant appearance, dressed in pure white.

The children and I stared in wonder and awe, as we should at the beauty God has made.

  1. It's so special, isn't it? And utterly beautiful. It looks like you had an air frost, AND some snow?
A change of play for the family! But I hope Spring will come back to you soon.
I left a little reply for you on my blog, and thank you for visiting!
    Blessings to you!

    1. Maybe we did have air frost and snow--I'm not sure! All I know is that it was so beautiful and I'm glad I got to take pictures before the snow melted off of the trees! I enjoy the winter. I like spring, but it never seems to last long enough before the hot summer comes. Then I just don't have the energy to do as much. Blessings to you too.

  2. I really like your photos. The freshly fallen snow looks amazing on the trees.

  3. It's cold here in Texas but no snow. I love how clean and bright everything looks after a snow -but driving on it ,no, thank-you!

    1. I agree with you. I love how it looks, but I don't like to drive in it at all.

  4. It must have been lovely to see all the snow-here in Australia we have been battling heat and dryness with very bad drought in some areas. I'm looking forward to cooler weather.

    Have a lovely week ahead.
