A Woman's Place is in the Home

"A woman's place is in the home not because she isn’t good enough for the world but because she is too good for it. A woman’s precious gifts are squandered when she gives herself to the making of a dollar rather than a home. The world, its corporations, bureaucracies, and agencies are profane entities that are unworthy of a woman’s devotion and are unable to value the feminine charism. These profane entities coarsen, poison, and suck dry the maternal heart."

  1. I so agree. It's a shame the world doesn't believe that. I truly think the generation growing up now would be so much happier if mom was home teaching them about God's way for their lives.

  3. Yes, Linda. I think we have a bunch of nervous people who have grown up--we are seeing the fruits of it now. I'm sure we wouldn't see so much turmoil if the generation that's now grown had their mothers at home teaching them about the Lord. Christian mothers especially all need to come home & raise their children & be there for them & make a happy home life. Even unsaved families can benefit from a mother at home, as it provides stability for the family.

    Amen, Joy, thanks for visiting.

  4. Amen Blessed Homemaking! I was talking with an older lady at the grocery store yesterday. She was telling me about her granddaughter who is in her 20s and a manager at Chick-Fil-A. She said she doesn't have time to think about getting married and having kids. She just loves working for the money so she can buy whatever she wants. She also said she can always have kids later on down the road. I told the grandmother that seems to be the trend with the majority of young ladies these days. It's all about them and no one else. Money doesn't make people happy and one day when she's older she'll have lots of regrets like so many women do. The grandmother says she tried to tell her but she won't listen. She just loves making money so she can buy a new car and have all the things it took her grandparents many many years to get. She thinks getting married and kids will get in the way of that. It's so sad how many women have brainwashed by the lies of feminism yet they think us "traditional" women are the ones brainwashed.

  5. CUANTA VERDAD EN ESTAS PALABRAS MI QUERIDA HERMANA, LAS MUJERES HOY EN DIA NO QUIEREN SABER NADA CON QUEDARSE EN SUS CASAS, EN TENER HIJOS, DICEN QUE ES DEMASIADO FRUSTRANTE ESTAR ENCERRADA HACIENDO TODOS LOS QUEHACERES DEL HOGAR, LAS MUJERES HOY QUIEREN LIBERTAD, DESAFIOS, ALCANZAR NIVELES SOCIALES MUY ALTOS, SER MAS QUE LOS HOMBRES....... ES TRISTE LA REALIDAD EN LA QUE VIVIMOS. PREFIERO MIL VECES QUEDARME EN MI HOGAR, CRIANDO HIJOS, ENSEÑANDOLES EL VALOR DEL UNA FAMILIA Y ENSEÑARLES EL CAMINO PARA LLEGAR A CRISTO. ESA ES LA UNICA VERDAD, LO DEMAS SE ESFUMA COMO LA NEBLINA, TODO LO DEMAS DURA MUY POCO. BENDICIONES Y ME ALEGRA SABER DE TI.

  6. Tajuana--that's very sad. Money does not make people happy, & we know what God's Word says about that-- “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
These girls are following after something that will not last, & one day they will probably find themselves alone & unhappy, with their childbearing years passed by. Feminism has been so destructive, especially to women, which feminism claims to represent (it does not).

  7. Serving the Lord-
Yes, I thank God for women like you who are still content to be at home raising a family. This is precious work for the Lord--keeping our homes & raising up families for Him. I do hope & pray that more Christian women will realize where the Lord's blessing is, so they will come home & be of service to Him there.

  8. What a wonderful quote. I agree wholeheartedly, but on the other hand I feel deeply saddened that this writer is expressing exactly the opposite opinion of today's society, which is that a woman's place is in the world, that it's shameful to be "only" a housewife.

  9. What a true, good, and beautiful quote. I am going to calligraphy it on some parchment and frame it.

  10. Heart of the Home--a wonderful idea!

Laura Jeanne--It is sad, but Satan has been trying to destroy the home since the beginning of creation--Christians should not be surprised, but be prepared for the attack. We have a great calling from the Lord.
