Thank you so much for taking the time to share with me and for stopping by to say hello. I do love my readers' comments. May God bless you.
Thank God, O women for the quietude of your home, and that you are queen in it. Men come at eventide to the home; but all day long you are there, beautifying it, sanctifying it, adorning it, blessing it.
Better be there than wear a queen's coronet. Better be there than carry the purse of a princess. It may be a very humble home. There may be no carpet on the floor. There may be no pictures on the wall. There may be no silks in the wardrobe; but, by your faith in God, and your cheerful demeanor, you may garniture that place with more splendor than the upholsterer's hand ever kindled.

I work for a King. He has put me in charge of his home. When He comes to see how I have managed His possessions and His children, I do not want to be found wanting. I want to do my best. Everything I have is on loan from Him. I have room and board and a job to do, but it is all for Him. Therefore I want to dress my best and do my best in all my work. I also want to be creative, for this is a sincere attempt to glorify Him and His beautiful creation. How I manage my home is a form of worship to Him.

ReplyDeleteAmen. We pray only to God. Mary was special in her day on earth but she, like the rest of us are not equal to God Almighty. The Godhead is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Mary cannot communicate with us spiritually here on earth. May God open the eyes of the blind while there is still time.
DeleteYes, I agree. Thank you for your comment.
DeleteWhat a lovely blog page! There just needs to be a little clarification to the above question and comment. We do not PRAY to Mary, we ask her to intercede for us; to pray for us. As I would ask you to pray for me. This always seems to be misunderstood by so many good and well intentioned people. Blessings on your endeavor!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if my first post went through, so here goes again! What a beautiful and lovely blog! I would like to thank you for it! Just a clarification to the above question and comment. We do not PRAY to Mary we ask her to intercede for us as I would ask you to intercede for me. If I ask you to pray for me, I am not praying to you but asking you intercede for me. It is a shame that this is so frequently misunderstood. Blessings....
ReplyDeleteYour blog is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThis is refreshing to read about families like yours. Some of us need encouragement. I have a sick child and worry how it will be for him as our country and world falls apart.
ReplyDeleteThank you. May God help your dear child.
DeleteThis may be one of the most beautiful blogs I've EVER seen!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI loved the hymns- listened for over an hour. THX. We love the scripture songs of Patti Vaillant titled Scripture Songs I, II, III, IV & V. Here is a link to one of my favorite CDs. http://www.amazon.com/Scripture-Songs-II-James-Bible/dp/B00006883G
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the hymns. Yes, we have those Scripture Songs too--love them!
DeleteA comment regarding asking Mary to intercede for us in pray. I want you to know, according to the Bible, God's Holy Word, that the Lord Jesus Christ is our intercessor. He died for us and rose from the dead for our salvation. It is written in the New Testament that we pray to our Father in the name of Jesus Christ. I used to believe the same as you regarding praying to Mary; then one day by the grace of God, He saved me and by His lovingkindness revealed to me who He is. It was He who died and rose to save me, Mary, you, the whole world. Only you must believe. I pray you will.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your blog. I love everything to do with the support of homemaking. Homes and families are the core of every society and nation. We have been neglecting the importance of it for way too long.
DeleteThank you for your blog! I appreciate anything that supports homemaking. Family and home are the core of any healthy society and nation. We have been neglecting and marginalizing homemaking and family so long; this is very refreshing. Love it!
DeleteThank you, Dixie! I agree that the family and home are the core of a healthy society as well. I think the need to encourage Christians in the importance of their homes and families is a great need right now because it has been so long neglected.
DeleteDixie--I just realized who you are! Love your mom's book--she has left quite a legacy, and I'm glad she wrote such a helpful book.
DeleteYour blog is very unique.
