Please Pray

Hello there.  I wanted to let you know that I have not been feeling well the last few days (thought I had the flu).  But the culprit seems to be mastitis.  (I thought I felt sick before I noticed I had any sort of clog in my milk duct).  I covet your prayers--I am in and out of bed, trying to care for the family.  I couldn't get a doctor's appointment until Thursday, and I really do not want to go on antibiotics again (this would be the 4th time in less than a year).  Meanwhile I am taking raw garlic, using warm compresses, and praying a lot!  Oh, it is such a blessing to be in good health.  I don't like not being able to care for my family.

Will you please pray for me?

Thank you so much.

  1. Hello Mrs. Q, I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Mastitis is such a painful condition, you must be very tired and hurting. I will keep you in my prayers and ask God to give you all the strength needed to heal and to help you endure and know that you are loved and not alone. Sometimes mother's, especially young mother's feel they must be very stoic about their pain and endure in silence, afraid to let anyone know they need help, afraid to burden their husbands. Don't forget to ask for help my dear from those around you, sisters, girlfriends, ect... God will sometimes help us through our loved ones in unexpected way when we are vulnerable. It is good for your husband to know you are suffering and learn to serve you and care for you. It is also good for your older children to understand that Mom can get sick, but they can help. It gives them a great boost of self confidence. Sickness will be with a mother periodically throughout her life, go for medical help no matter how much you dread the treatment, and in a few days or a few weeks this will be gone and the world and life will feel bright again.

  4. I will pray for you today. I had mastitis 4 days after my son was born so I know that it can be challenging to take care of a family.

  6. Lord, I do not know this woman but I follow her blog and I know how it feels to not be able to care for my family like I want to. Please help her today to wait on you. Help her children to support her and give her healing and renewed strength. Amen

  8. I had that with my son. I nursed as much as I could to relieve the pressure, and warm showers constantly. I pray that you get better soon.
