This is a box made of paper from my 9 year old. She read the instructions in a craft book we have, then measured, decorated, cut out, and put it together all by herself.
Precious little drawings...
A sunflower, a rose, a butterfly...
A busy bee...
A daughter's love...
This paper is attached on the inside of the paper box and folds out so I can read her message:
The other day her flower broke that goes on one of her dresses...She asked to keep it for her and I in the box she made me. And here it is...
Thank you, my sweet Cherished of God. God has truly blessed me with you.

What a precious gift. I have kept many of the gifts and card my sons have made me over the years and I love looking through them. They mean so much to me, just like this does to you.

ReplyDeleteSo precious... what a blessing. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet story Mrs. Q! It reminded me of something my own mother did. When I was a little girl I had a stuffed kitty that I carried everywhere with me for years. If fact I still have her tucked in my treasure box. The kitty's much loved, pink nose was always falling off and Mom was always sewing it back on. Years past and I grew and kitty was lovingly tucked away. After my mom passed away, I was going through her jewelry box, I opened a little black velvet ring box...and there was kitty's nose, safe and sound! It touched my heart so much and I will always be thankful my dear little mother saved it all those years. Delisa :)
ReplyDeleteThe pics are precious, Mrs. Q... you are blessed!
ReplyDeleteThat is so very sweet!! I just loved reading about that. Your daughter is quite a budding little artist, I must say! :)
ReplyDeleteHow precious and what a good job!! Such a sweet, thoughtful gift that was obviously worked very hard on!! Now that you have it in pictures and blogged - no matter what - you'll always be able to look back at it, see it and smile because of the love it was created with.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Cass
Mrs. Q,
ReplyDeleteWhat a special treasure your daughter has made for you!
She did a very good job of designing that box for her Mommy. :) I like the fact that she wanted you to save the little flower from her dress. I think that's too sweet.
Thank you for sharing these pictures with us, Mrs. Q!
