Unexpected Blessings

(I started this last night but didn't get to finish...)

Well I will try to write a few words before I fall asleep nursing the Babe.  I had to run a few unexpected errands today (you must know how I don't like to run errands), and Eldest asked for me to get a few things down for her before I left.  I knew that she had wanted to make a "surprise" for me while I was gone because she had been telling me so for a few days.

Apple Trees in Blossom

A couple of hours later I traipsed back through the door, to find a grinning Cherished of God (9) and Guided by Faith (5).  Creative had gone with me and the others were asleep (well, except for Baby, who was crying for feeding time *smile*).  Husband did not have work yesterday.  The girls said I would have to look around to see what they had done.  Well, this was what I found--they had wiped down the kitchen cabinets, appliances, and cleaned off the microwave cart--not an easy task.  Cherished of God also organized my cookbooks nicely on the microwave cart (where I keep them).  I was so pleased and thankful.  This was all their own idea.  This morning when I was nursing the baby, these two had also decided to wash the dishes for me (they normally don't do this because our water irritates their skin, and their hands are too small for gloves).  How am I such a blessed momma?

This evening at dinner time, Cherished of God found an apple seed that had SPROUTED already inside the core of our little boy's apple.  Have you ever heard of such a thing?  Well, I've never seen it before.  Cherished...was ecstatic.  She asked if we could plant it, and I said she'd have to ask Husband, as he had always said No to having a fruit tree before.  He said there would be too much fruit.  So she asked him and this time he said yes!  So perhaps we will have an apple tree?  Who knows...our whole yard is full of sand (and weeds), and I haven't the slightest idea how to grow a tree from a seed.  Cherished of God has also been wanting to save her apple seeds to throw outside for the birds lately too.

In Christ's Love.
