Lots to Do

Tomorrow will be a busy day. We are going to celebrate my daughter's birthday who will be turning 4. Both sets of grandparents will be coming over for dinner & cake. I will need to clean the bathrooms, the floors, and prepare dinner and bake a cake from scratch. If possible, I also need to get some homeschooling done with the children. I hope to get to bed early tonight because I have not had enough rest all week & I am so tired!

Today I got to take the children outside to play for a bit. They were excited to see their kitties that used to be indoors, but have joined the outside wild world after too many misbehavings inside ;)

Cat Cooking a Pie

My buttermilk finished up this evening & I have yogurt in the crock pot. It will be ready in the morning. For dinner I refried some leftover beans and baked tostada shells in the oven. I used to fry them on the stovetop, but they were oh, so messy as the oil splattered everywhere! Now I just lay them out on a cookie sheet & drizzle coconut oil on them. I leave them in there until they are crispy.

I hope you have a wonderful evening.

  1. Sounds wonderful Mrs Q! I love your idea of making tostadas with less mess. I definitely have to try this!

I love the picture of the mama cat! My daughters have the old story rhyme of the 3 little kittens who lost there mittons. The picture reminds me of that.

Thanks for your wonderful visit! :)

  2. Yes, the tostadas are quite good this way, and take much less time this way!

That picture does remind me of those naughty kittens too ;)

    Thanks for visiting me back!

    Much love,
