Mothers, Stay Strong

Never bend. Know what your convictions are and do not change them with the times. Do not try to join in sinful, worldly living just to be friends with your children. You are the Mother. You are the example. You must stay strong and live out a godly, holy life before your family. Do not bend to their childish, immature worldly whims. I cannot stress this enough. Children will grow up, remembering your example. One day they will cling to the old ways and realize it was your source of strength. Long after you are dead and gone, dear mother, they will remember your strong character and godly ways. Don't underestimate the power of a committed, godly life.

This is so true! I love Mrs White's writing, as well. Is this from a particular book, or her website? Janine

QUERIDA HERMANA: MUCHAS VECES ME ENOJA LA ACTITUD DE MIS HIJOS/AS, CUANTO ME CUESTIONAN MI MANERA DE PENSAR RESPECTO AL MUNDO, LES HABLAMOS JUNTO A MI ESPOSO, SOBRE LA VIDA PECAMINOSA EN LA QUE SE MUEVE EL IMPIO, PERO SIEMPRE PARECE QUE YO Y MI ESPOSO SOMOS LOS MALOS, NO LOS ENTIENDO, ELLOS COMO HIJOS DE DIOS SABEN LO QUE ESTA MAL, PERO HAY VECES QUE PARECE QUE ESTAN DEL LADO DEL IMPIO MUNDANO, DIOS, COMO ME ENFADA ESO. NO SOY AMIGA DE MIS HIJOS, SOY SU MADRE Y LOS SEGUIRE EDUCANDO EN LA FE, AUN A LOS MAYORES HIJOS QUE ESTAN CASADOS, AHORA ELLOS CRIAN Y EDUCAN A SUS HIJOS Y VEN COMO ESTA EL MUNDO, DESTRUYENDOSE POR EL PECADO, SEGUIRE DEFENDIENDO LA PALABRA DE DIOS, HABLANDO E INSTRUYENDO A MIS HIJOS Y LOS NIETOS. TAMBIEN LEO EL BLOG DE LA SEÑORA WHITE, SIEMPRE ES TAN INSPIRADORA, SUS ESCRITOS SON MUY ALENTADORES. SALUDOS DESDE BUENOS AIRES.

Oh, this is so good! What truth! May we, as godly mothers, remember where our strength comes from as we cling to His ways, no matter what happens.
