A Quick Children's Shoe Tip

Pink and Blue Or, the Cahen D'Anvers Girls, 1881

Recently I was told something that I thought might be helpful to some of my readers.  I've had a hard time finding girls' size 4 shoes.  Well, a person at a shoe store said that a child's size 4 shoe is the same as a ladies size 6.  Also, a size 3 child's shoe is the same as a ladies size 5.

Where do you like to buy shoes for your children?  Shoes are one thing I prefer not to buy secondhand, as the previous wearer would have changed the shoes' soles with the way they walk, and I don't want to mess up my children's feet.

  2. That's so funny. I recently learned that same thing from my SIL while i was visiting for Thanksgiving! I have a girl in a size four and my SIL gave her a pair of her size 6 shoes! :)
