I am posting this here on Blessed
Homemaking, because I have a painting I would really like to get rid
of! I painted this around 1998-1999 for someone who really liked
snakes. I no longer have contact with this person and have no need for
this painting that is taking up space! It is 24 x 30" on canvas board
and ready to hang in a black metal frame. I would like to get at
least $200 for it for the time it took me. It was my first real
painting I did in acrylics. Below are the pictures and if you are
interested, it may be purchased at my Etsy shop here.
On a side note: I would like to make some more paintings of lovely things (but somehow life with little ones keeps me so busy?) Hopefully one day I will get to do this!
Thanks for looking.

Wow! That is incredibly realistic! I am looking at that envisioning the countless hours you must have spent on it, as I am also an artist, (although I daresay my skills have become a bit rusty!)
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch. Yes, it did take me a longggggg time, especially since I get a bit perfectionist with my artwork...
DeleteThat is well done, but I'm terrified of snakes!
ReplyDeleteThank you, and I can't blame you!
DeleteIts a lovely painting, but I couldn't have a snake painting on my wall as I don't like them!! I can remember standing on a few as a child :)
ReplyDeleteWhen your children are older you will find that time again - I have and sometimes it feels strange that I have "me" time that I never had before!
Thank you, Joluise--I don't want one hanging on my wall, either lol! The children want me to hang it up just because I made it!
DeleteIt will indeed be strange to have "me" time. I can hardly believe it will ever happen.
I pray that one day my "me" time is exchanged for "grandma time" when I can spend lots of time with grandchildren. Far more rewarding than "me" time :)
