Shuddering with Horror

If you have not heard the news already, I wanted to share with you what Nancy Campbell of Above Rubies sent out yesterday.  I am sure she would not mind me sharing in order to get the word out.  I don't like to follow politics or the news much, but when it involves standing up for and praying for the helpless members of society, I think it is Biblical for Christian women to do so.

Nancy writes:

Can you believe it? After President Trump and Republican leaders promised to defund Planned Parenthood, they have now gone ahead and given $500 million to this baby killing organization. They have fulfilled Hilly Clinton's promise instead. It's hard to take in.

Planned Parenthood is the Auschwitz of our country. They kill over 320,000 babies every year! And then they have the audacity to sell the baby organs to make more money-precious limbs, livers, hearts, brains, eyes, and even whole heads! And they even have a law suit against David Daleiden, the brave young man who exposed what they are doing. What is his crime? Telling the truth.

We can't let this go without standing up for what is right. We must always stand for life. God is for life. He is the author of life, but Satan hates life and wants to kill, rob, and destroy.

What can you do? Pray above everything else. Pray for repentance among our national leaders for helping to kill babies. Pray for God to change their hearts. Pay for leaders who will stand for truth. Pray for pastors and clergy who will stand for truth. Pray together as a family each day.

And pray in your churches? Did your church pray about this matter on Sunday?

And be a voice. Go to https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ where you can leave a message for President Trump. Tell him that you expected him to keep his promise. Tell him to stand up for life and do something to defund Planned Parenthood.

Phone your senators. Go to:

Phone your congressmen. Go to: https://www.house.gov/representatives

If you would prefer to email, click on the name of your representative which will take you to where you can email them. I both emailed a message and phoned my senators and representatives.

By the way, why did I say I was shuddering with horror? Paul writes in Romans 12:9: "Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good." The Greek word "abhor" is very strong and means "to shudder with horror." Is there anything more horrifying than the killing of unborn innocent lives? If it doesn't make us shudder, we should ask God to soften our hearts to beat with His heart.

Proverbs 31:8, 9 exhorts us: "Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and please the cause of the poor and needy."

Did you notice that this Scripture doesn't tell you to keep your mouth closed, but to OPEN YOUR MOUTH!

Make your voice heard.

Thanks for standing for life,

Nancy Campbell

  1. That Trump said he would not sign a bill like that again, he concentrated on taking care of the military since things could blow up at any time, He also asked for a line item veto which he could have taken out the killer funding. We need to provide him with constitutional people that will work for us through him. So we really need to vote the constitutional representatives which will work for us. I am glad you shared it we need to do what we can to move our country better and not sit back and let them run it into the ground which it has for 50 or more years. Thank you once again, I understand if you don't post this. Be Well.

    1. Thanks for pointing this out. I do believe his hands were tied. During the coming year we all must pray and work for changes. Perhaps the budget will be determined differently next time.

  2. Oh, I did not realize that he had done this, It makes me sick with grief as we have lost so many precious lives. Sin has killed life again and again!
Lies and cover ups is the norm in our society.
    I will PRAY...

    1. It's awful, isn't it? Thank you for praying, Roxy. God bless.
