Just a Typical Morning

Victorian Girls Singing

Well not soooo typical.  I woke up late due to not being able to get to sleep early enough last night.  When I tried to come out of my room, I was greeted with a frenzy of "Don't look over here, Mom!" from my children--a sure sign that they are making me another surprise (one of their favorite past times).  It has something to do with making breakfast.  Good thing they can follow recipes, because they seem to always want to be making something in the kitchen!

While they are waiting for the surprise to bake in the kitchen, the little boy (4 years old), leads his sisters in hymns and praise to our God (at the top of his voice), and I hear someone say, "We are still in our pajamas--we have to get dressed!"  But they have made a surprise and they have sung praise to the Lord, so it is a good morning.

I am thankful.
