The Importance of Having a Clean, Organized Home

Living Room in the Summer Palace of Peter the Great, St. Petersburg

Having a clean and organized home is important for many reasons.  If your home is organized, it makes it easier to clean.  It makes it easier to find things that you need.  If your home is very disorganized you may even purchase things you already had but couldn't find because of the clutter.

Having a clean and organized home allows for peace of mind.  When your home is in disarray, it makes it harder to be at peace.  The sight of dirt and clutter around the home does not bring a sense of well-being but can actually be a source of stress.  A clean and organized home helps contribute to a happy home life and the sense that children and husband are loved and well-taken care of.

  1. A mess house generates stress for all - can't think of anything worse than a house in a mess:( My motto is "everything has a place"!! Once the house is organised it is very easy to keep that way I find.

  2. I agree with you. This time of year I must work extra hard with gift wrap and Christmas cards and decorations everywhere. I can't stand a mess.I feel like if my home is a mess so is my life.

    1. I only have a couple rolls of gift wrap myself, but we do have too many gift bags...We have one little place for Christmas cards and just a few decorations. I think it is simple and sweet. However, when we get gifts I feel the need to get rid of some things we don't need! Actually, that is an ongoing process I am always tackling to help our small space not seem so crowded.
      Blessings to you, Linda.
