The Pleasures of Cleaning
Cleaning is not a dreaded chore in my home. Do you know why? It is because when I clean my home, I am blessing my family. It is a joy for me to see them
have a pleasant, clean home. You can make cleaning not a chore too by changing your attitude. Instead of dreading cleaning the toilets yet again, think of it as blessing your home, blessing your family. This makes it very pleasant instead of a drudgery. It is wonderful to see something that was dirty now clean. You will enjoy cleaning much more if you have a good attitude about it. And your children will probably catch that good attitude too.
I like to make my own cleaners with essential oils. That way I am not using harsh chemicals, but the essential oils kill germs and leave the house smelling great. These cleaners are safe for the children to use, too.

I don't know if I have one favorite thing to clean, I like it to be all clean. With kids it's a rare occasion that the whole house is clean all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteMy having nice scent like lavender or citrus in my cleaning products makes me cleaning much more enjoyable, I love good smelling thing :-)
I would have to say my kitchen because I am there most of the time… I also do not mind cleaning when we play cheerful music in the background, open up the windows, realizing soon our home will be nice and cozy :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post. We recently had our house exterior professionally painted. Prior to painting it was power washed. It left the storm windows looking just awful, but since we are replacing the storm doors, I just left the windows unwashed. It really bothered me. After reading your post I washed these old windows and now am enjoying the sparkle and listening to the birds singing. What a lift to my spirit! God bless!
ReplyDeletemarried forty one years sometimes it just takes a reminder why I like cleaning to give me an attitude change
ReplyDeletethanks Penny
It is all in the attitude.
ReplyDeleteBeing thankful changes everything.

I love all my home-cleaning jobs except dusting. It seems I'm never finished with dusting!
ReplyDeleteI clean because it needs to be done and I often do it with my cat at my side (as she follows me around the house) so we "chat" about life together!!! Today as I was cleaning the bathroom she came across a bug which we both enjoyed looking at (her more than me)!! This is what happens when all the children grow up and leave home - just you and the cat:))
ReplyDeleteHello, I enjoy the house work mostly because it gives me a sense of order. It feels good to see things tidy and in their place.
ReplyDeleteI like to use the products by Method especially the glass and surface cleaner it is amazing. I had just finished my spring cleaning and we had a terrible dust storm, I almost cried!
Blessings, Roxy
